Great place to stay for the weekend and very close to some great hiking! Nick was very responsive, would definitely stay again.

Excellent rental. Stunning views. I was exhausted from drive upon arrival and the sleep in the bed felt like sleeping on pillows of clouds. I was sad to leave such a comfortable sleeping experience behind.

The host was nice and helpful. The house was cozy and perched right above the river which made for viewing birds quite convenient next to the big warm fire.The house felt secure with a nice fence and big gate. The area though seems to have quite a bit of rif raff, keep to yourself and respect the locals and you will be just fine. Would stay here again and recommend this property to others looking for a peaceful relaxing vacation.

We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin. Our days were filled with local hikes and evenings relaxing at the cabin overlooking the river. Very Comfortable and cosy. Nicholas was a great host, with helpful suggestions and reminders. Local restaurants were also great. Would stay again!

This is the second time I've stayed at this cabin. It's always been a quiet and beautiful holiday retreat. The fenced yard is extra nice for added privacy and to let the dog stretch his legs off leash.

It is a charming airbnb right by the water, with impeccable views. The house is super pretty with 3 bedroom and a very cozy living room and a full functioning kitchen. It’s a perfect place to unwind with friends and family. We thought the location would be in the middle of no where, and were taken aback to see so many houses close by, but once we entered the property it didn’t matter. Would go back again in a heart beat! If I could improve on one thing, it would be maybe having some litter fluid or a heads-up for guests to carry a fire starter for the fireplace. The house had a gorgeous fireplace but we couldn’t use it since it didn’t have a starter and it was raining too heavily for us to go get one.

It was everything we were hoping for! Thank you so much for making the stay cozy and easy!

The cabin was perfect! The host was fast to respond when I had questions about the area for fishing. I highly recommend this BRBO!

I paid 1900 for this house for 3 days and it was HUGE disappointment. The smell everytime you walked in was terrible. The house was incredibly dirty.. cobwebs everywhere layers of dust and hair in the bathroom. Mold in places. The kitchen did not look like the pictures. The countertops are actually yellowish and old. Lots of worn spots that we kept thinking we were leaving coffee grounds allover. The coffee makers lid was broken. The fridge was gross. Very little supplies. We were really supposed to get through 3 days only using a half a roll of paper towels.. ??? Flying across the country to this house spending that much in this economy almost ruined our trip. Thankfully our hikes and the beautiful North Cascades was worth it and we spent most of the time outside this house. The host offered to send a cleaner on Tuesday when we check out Wednesday am... and refunded the cleaning fee.. but 130 dollars of 1900 and a night of a cleaning was kind of a joke.

Beautiful cabin with a great view of the river and Mt Baker on clear days! We had two families staying here, each with a little in tow. The cabin had 2 pack and plays available which was really nice (the second one was a surprise to us! but nice to use in the living room to for the 6 month old). There are 2 bedrooms on the main floor with exterior access doors then an open ish concept loft style bedroom (a bit more privacy than a loft but no door) on the second floor. The kitchen is well stocked and easy to use (but in general on the older side). The location is about 50 mins from the National Park (main entrance and visitor's center) and there are some things in town nearby, including a regular grocery store. Overall nice location and stay for us!

Our family had a great stay at this gorgeous property. The views from the cabin and yard were incredible. The beds were amazingly comfortable after some long hikes in Cascades. Everything you might need is included. Very cozy and comfortable stay with a great host. Exactly as advertised. One of the best AirBNBs we’ve stayed at. Will book again if we come back out this way.

We stayed here for two nights while exploring the North Cascades area. It is in a quiet neighborhood and right on the river for beautiful views. Basic, but comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Nicholas was a kind, responsive host. We appreciated the clear communication and direction and was super kind to let us check in early. The place is located in a spot that allows for easy access to the National Park. The rooms were cozy and spacious and the AC was greatly appreciated. And you can’t beat the views of the river!! Our only complaint is that while the house was very clean, we did spot mold in many spots throughout the house. And the kitchen didn’t have any basic cooking ingredients such as oils or spices. Side note: the mattress on the beds are also super soft. It’s a personal preference and some may love it but we had a very hard time sleeping.

We loved staying at Nichols’s house for 5 nights so we could explore North Cascades National Park and nearby towns. The bedrooms were spacious, had comfortable beds and were clean. The living space was perfect for our family of 5 to cook and eat in everyday. They even had a crock pot that we used so we had dinner ready after hiking all day. The view of the river was gorgeous from inside the house and front deck. We were lucky with the clouds dispersing and Mt Baker was visible right in front of the house with all its beauty. Lots of great memories were made for our family vacation.

Great location to enjoy the nature scenery.

What a beautiful place. The A-frame had beautiful views of the river and mountain. We enjoyed the fire pit. We roasted hot dogs and listened to the beautiful river. There was so many places to see and things to do. I wished we had more time! We hiked Baker River Trail and took a hike to Ross lake Dam. The kids went paddle boarding on Diablo Lake. Everything was just gorgeous!

This is our second time in less than a year to enjoy this amazing home right on the Skagit River. The balcony views of the river and Mount Baker can’t be beat. The home is so cozy, clean and has every you need. We love sipping our coffee in the morning on the balcony listening to the river. Short drives to the National Park trails and overlooks and several nice country towns. We will be back for a third time!

Great location if you want a quiet stay near the river and close to hiking trails. The beds were comfortable and everything was as described in the listing. I’d stay here again. And the yard was completely fenced to protect our little dog.

Had a great stay. The view from the property is just gorgeous--perched on the Skagit River and a Mount Baker view. The classic A-frame cabin was cozy and the beds were very comfortable. Did not lack for anything in the house. We walked down to the river daily--there is a short trail at the end of the road. Lots of birds if you are into that sort of thing. The main reason we chose to stay here was the proximity to North Cascades Nat'l Park. There really isn't anything much closer than this--and I bet there is nothing more comfortable. Communications were excellent. Absolutely would return. There are about 100 more hiking trails I need to do in the area...

We stayed at the A frame cabin after a long hike in the Cascades, and it was perfect! The view of the river from the back patio was gorgeous to relax and enjoy our coffee in the morning. The couch was also really comfortable for resting, and the cabin was really well stocked. We didn’t have our kiddos on this trip, but noticed it was well stocked for them with a booster and pack-n-play. Thanks for having us, we’d love to stay when we’re back in the area!

Beautiful view of Mount Baker, the Skagit River, and eagles from the back deck, and everything we needed for a clean, comfortable stay inside! I'm not a pet person and was a little concerned about staying in a pet-friendly home, but the only signs of pets I saw were the dog toys! Everything was very clean! We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area!

The property was spacious, clean, and we enjoyed a beautiful view of the Skagit River from the back porch and family room area. We used the home as a base for driving into the North Cascades National Park and doing day hikes. We did Cascade pass, Maple pass, and Blue Lake trails and then enjoyed the beautiful drive back to the rental home each day where we prepared a delicious meal using the grill and enjoying the dining area with a view of the river. Nick, our host, was absolutely incredible in his attentiveness to our every need. I highly recommend this property.

The family will remember our stay here during our long adventure above most stops. It is truly a special place and we are so thankful you shared it with us.

House was clean, plenty of fresh linens and nice extras like seasonings, coffee and fixings. The view off the porch was beautiful. It is an older home but well maintained.

One of the most helpful and responsive hosts we’ve ever encountered! The pots/pans for cooking were great and we enjoyed the family games on the quiet evenings. But our favorite part was how easy he made check out! In all our years staying in homes we’ve never had a more simple and convenient checkout - without the big “to do list”, it really did feel like a vacation!

TLDR: Nicholas was a great host and the cabin was a great! Prior to the staying, Nicholas reached out and gave us clear instructions on how to get into the house plus some suggestions of what to do in the area. So great communication there. The cabin can easily accommodate 6 people (maybe 8 if there are small children who don't mind cramming on the couch). Everything was clean when we got there, towels were provided, and even firewood + fire starter was available for the small setup in the back. Location wise, the cabin is right along the Skagit River and you have a wonderful view of the river through the backyard. It's about a ~30-40 min drive to the North Cascades Visitor Center so, it's a great location if you plan on visiting. Lastly, I'm a huge fan of the simple exit instructions (just run the dishwasher) as well. Would definitely stay here again if I'm back in the area!

We stay in the area frequently and this place was the best rental property we have used. Nick is very responsive and the property is just wonderful. The furniture is functional, everything works, and best of all there is a/c if it gets too hot. We loved it and Nick was a phenomenal host.

A beautiful cabin nestled right up next to the river! What a beautiful place to stay at. AMAZING view of Mt. Baker when the sky is clear from the back deck, beautiful stars at night. The constant rushing of the river is soothing, and the fenced off yard gives a sense of privacy without feeling walled off. the fireplace is unique and one-of-a-kind! I'd gladly stay here again!

Very unique location. This was a great place to explore north cascades national park We enjoyed seeing eagles from the deck, everyone raved about the mattresses and the private yard was appreciated.

Lovely Location and View Our recently stay was wonderful! The view of the river from cabin was just beautiful. The cabin's location is great - just outside the downtown area of Concrete, and easy reach to the state parks and North Cascades NP. The cabin was very clean, and the beds were super comfy. Our family of four had plenty of room. Loved the firepit out back, and the charming little park a short walk down the road for river access. The property owner Nick couldn't have been any more welcoming and easy to deal with. Highly recommended!!

This cabin sits in an absolutely perfect setting. Views of the river and Mt.Baker right from the living area. I would definitely recommend staying here when visiting the North Cascades. Wished our stay was longer.

Our favorite place Nick’s place is such a gem - not only is it incredibly clean and well-cared for, but you get to be right on the river. We never get to bring our dogs on vacation because so many places have weight limits on dogs (which is totally fair), so it was a really special treat to get to bring our two big dogs with us. We had a great time watching a bald eagle from the couch and enjoying a fire after long hikes. The kitchen is very well-stocked, which made cooking easy. Nick was super responsive and kind when we needed some help on a day out (not because of anything wrong with the cabin) and was quick to connect and help. We can’t wait to come back!

Myself, my boyfriend and our two dogs spent the weekend at Nicholas’ beautiful cabin to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. We were taken away by just how stunning this cabin is. From the tall windows with gorgeous river views, to the cozy fireplace, to the most comfortable beds, we loved everything about our stay here. We saw a bald eagle, and my Shepsky saw a raccoon! The space was clean, comforting and we appreciated not having a huge chore list to do when checking out which made our stay even more relaxing. It was the perfect cozy cabin to wind down, enjoy each other’s company while taking in the quiet views. I especially loved the privacy we had with the full enclosed fencing, perfect for my reactive dogs who like their space. We felt right at home here, thank you for a lovely stay!

Immaculate chalet overlooking the Skagit River and a stunning view of the back of Mount Baker. Comfy beds, full kitchen, large private yard for parking. Nicholas is an exceptionally kind host who really worked with us around some family difficulties and made our stay possible.

We loved the stay. Place is so pretty, the views of river are gorgeous . Only one thing we would like to give feedback will be the lighting wasnt enough in the living room & dining area. As it was so dark in the evening we checked out, we felt the lack of lighting, some of the lights on the wall didnt work.

Beautiful, comfortable cabin The wall of windows looking out at Skagit River was spectacular. Having that view from the spacious living room/dining area with its fireplace, exposed rock-faced chimney, and comfy sofas made it a wonderful place to relax. With the cabin's proximity to town, we got take-out so we could dine in the beautiful cabin instead! The cabin is dog-friendly with its fenced yard, and it was just a short walk to the public trail down to the shoreline of the river.

The location of this cabin is serene and the views spectacular, even in the pouring rain! I would imagine in the fall with foliage and clear sky views of Mt Baker it would be astounding. We loved the fireplace and the ample supply of wood, so very cozy! We were able to walk around the property for kindling but bringing more kindling or a newspaper wouldn’t hurt. The bed was super comfy and the water pressure was great! Kitchen pantry is sparse so if you plan to cook bring all your essentials. Nicholas was super communicative and helpful and very responsive to some small snafus we had. It is clear he wants his guests to enjoy the space and the experience. Would love to come back in the fall for some hiking and autumn color.

We loved spending a long weekend here! The views from the large windows of the Skagit River and mount baker even better. My husband and I brought our dogs and they were very happy with the place too! Definitely recommend this place!

We are so happy that we had the opportunity to stay at Nicholas's North Cascades Riverside A-Frame. It is truly an amazing property that was hard to leave at the end of our trip! Prior to our arrival, Nicholas provided us with resources and suggestions for exploring the area. Thanks to this input, we were able to have several experiences that we probably would not have discovered on our own. The property was as advertised and pictured....so cozy and magical...the beds were the most comfortable of our entire trip to Washington. The living area with the sectional, wood fireplace and tv was the best spot for our family to gather at the end of a cold and wet day. While in a more remote part of the state, the grocery store was close by, as well as some eating spots. As we were departing on our last morning, a bald eagle landed on a tree not far from the front of the property. What a great experience!

Our family had a nice Christmas getaway at Nicholas's place. We loved the view of the river and wood-burning fire place. It was a cozy place for watching movies and getting out of the rain!

The cabin was absolutely beautiful. It was cloudy and rainy and so we couldn’t see mt baker, but regardless it was beautiful and peaceful! Nicholas was responsive and helpful!

I would not recommend this place. Poorly managed~ The top two things was: 1) The surroundings are gorgeous, 2) Nicholas provided an early check-in. Outside of that, inaccurate, broken and dirty. - The description said it was a charcoal grill and we prepped all of the materials for it but the place actually had a propane grill. By the way, listing is still incorrect even though I told him. - The bathroom stank on the top floor. It looks like it wasn't cleaned as there was a few hairs sticking out of the shower head. - One of the towels we were about to use actually had brown spots all over it. I'm not sure they properly clean. - The heater did not work. Cold air came out of the vents so we were quite cold during our stay. Due to the lateness, we told Nicholas the next day but there wasn't much of a consideration of our bad experience. More of a hands-off approach and thanks for the info. - Cobwebs and dust all over the place (somewhat expected so not that big of a deal for a cabin)

The cabin is great! Loved waking up and watch the river and Mount Baker. My furbabies enjoyed running around the front yard and playing fetch. Nicholas was fast on communicating with us and very nice!

Wow, what a beautiful cabin! We especially enjoyed the view out the back overlooking the river. Nicholas was very helpful, and even allowed us flexible check-in. It was the perfect jumping off point for North Cascades fall adventures.

We loved this place for a long weekend! Beautiful view and great location! You can see the river and a snowy mountain from the balcony and it’s amazing. The yard is fully fenced so that was a bonus for our dog(the area in front of the river has a bit of a drop so don’t leave your dog off leash or unsupervised there), our pup loved playing in the back yard!

Delightful home base! The Riverside A-Frame is a well-kept and comfortable home for your stay. Even though we did not travel with a dog or small children, there are many items on hand to help make this VRBO a home away from home for those that do. The neighborhood is very quiet and the beds are comfortable which all allow for a good night's rest.

Absolutely beautiful views from the deck and the cabin inside is immaculate! We saw multiple bald eagles right from the living room during our stay and walking down to the river was a quick 10 min walk. It was very convenient to get to many different trails and the couple of small restaurants we tried were fantastic. Nicholas was quick to respond and checked in on us.

N Cascades getaway Nice, spacious house with view of Mount Baker and river. Plenty of room for our entire family of six. It’s also close to a grocery store and a few restaurants.

Great trip to North Cascades This cabin was a great spot for our family of 4 to stay during our trip to the north cascades area. We had to adjust a little bit due to the fires and hwy 20 being closed but Nick helped us and made great recommendations. The beds were comfortable and fans in each room was nice!! It does have AC but the weather was just perfect while we were there and we didn’t need to use it. White noise is kind of nice when sleeping so we all enjoyed the fans. The views of Mt. Baker and the sounds of the Skagit River are just beautiful. We hiked, rafted with Cascadia Rafting company and went to lake Shannon with kayaks and paddle boards. It was a great family vacation!!! and paddle boards.

Mountain Escape Wonderful cabin with a beautiful view of the Skagit River and Mt Baker. This is a great location to enjoy the quiet sounds of the river with close proximity to grocery options in Burlington about 30 minutes away. The cabin is a good base camp to head to Mt Baker or the North Cascades National Park. Easy to access and has all the essentials for a getaway.

We loved having a grill to use, and the kids had so much fun making s'mores in the fire pit. Nicholas was super communicative and made sure everything about our trip went smoothly. Nicholas was fast to reply and the cabin has a wonderful view and tranquil setting out back. We had a great stay overall. There were some things that we appreciated like filtered water, fun game selection, and tea selection. I thought the cost was a little high after seeing the cabinets and their need for fresh paint & lack of any dresser or shelves for clothes. There was a cozy fireplace - just bring your own paper to start it.

Clean, Cozy Cabin with Scenic Views We had a wonderful time at the cabin. The view was absolutely amazing - the river and Mt. Baker are gorgeous. Everything is clean and comfortable. We enjoyed eating meals, playing games and working a puzzle on the large dining room table. The proximity to North Cascades was very convenient and allowed us to explore the park multiple times. Communication with the owner, Nick was pleasant and timely. Would love to come back someday!

Not only was the place everything I wanted in a stay. It was clean, well kept, easy to find, private, and most of all gave a sense of security and privacy. The cameras gave me a little piece of mind and Nicholas’ quick and concise directions on checking in and his ability to make the stay easy will definitely bring me back in the future. This is the best airbnb I’ve stayed in for both price and location. The home iteself is so so beautiful! The view of Mount Baker and the river right by the home is amazing. I was so glad they had a seat for babies that I could strap to the chairs and use like a high chair.

We overall enjoyed our stay here. It was a good spot to allow us to get to North Cascades NP easily. This “cabin” is in a residential neighborhood, which I wasn’t expecting. Overall, it was a fine experience!

Amazing view! Perfect getaway

Our family got together for the first time in a long time and went on a short trip for 2 days and 1 night. I had a fun and enjoyable day in a beautiful and warm house. Also, everything was convenient.

Nicholas’s place is absolutely beautiful! The view from the living room of the Skagit River and Mt. Baker is phenomenal. My wife and I spent many nights sitting by the fire place enjoying the beautiful surroundings. The house is in a neighborhood, but it’s very quiet, peaceful, and feels very private. Our two dogs loved the fenced in yard as well! There’s a delicious pizza place (Annie’s Pizza Station) right down the road if you like good pizza. The kitchen is well equipped with all the utensils you need. We grilled and cooked many meals here. I’d stay at Nicholas’s place again, 100%!

Peaceful location. Confortable beds. The front gate is hard to open, especially if you are shorter than 5' 8". We recommend the pizza restaurant on Hwy 20 and 5 B Bakery in Concrete.

Nicholas and his wife have such a beautiful and cozy home that is in a perfect location! We loved how peaceful and serene the views were (and we saw so much wildlife). Our family of 5 plus our dog had everything we needed to feel comfortable and right at home. Highly recommend this beautiful stay nestled near the North Cascades!!

Was looking to take a photograph of an eagle, however, it was so full of clouds didn't see any. But i watched as the river was flooding, and watched huge trees floating down the river. It was very beautiful, i lite a fire in the fireplace, and i and my two dogs, enjoyed our stay. Would really love to see the home in the summer, with my whole family. Well worth the price, for me. Forgot my milk, water, and hat. Boo.

We had a great stay at this Airbnb. It has beautiful views of Mount Baker and the river. This place has a fenced backyard, which we really enjoyed for our dogs and privacy. It is close to lots of hiking trails and lakes. The only reason why we didnt't give 5 starts is because it was dirty in some areas of the kitchen and bathrooms. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.

This is a picturesque spot that captures the magic of the PNW! It was perfect to cozy up and play games while still enjoying the views of the river, wildlife, and even Mt Baker! Nicholas was a top tier host - very communicative and friendly. The cabin was really clean, the kitchen tools were well stocked, and there are a bunch of really nice board games to play! It's a short drive to the grocery store, good food (Annie's pizza is a must), river access, and the National Park. My friends and I will 100% book here again!

The home was beautiful, beds were comfy, and the views were fantastic. This place was a great staging area for going hiking and visiting in the valley and going up into North Cascades National Park. You can’t get down to the river from the property, but theres a bridge you cross 3 minutes away to get to the property that has a spot to pull over and paths down to the river in view of the bridge that is absolutely gorgeous and peaceful. I saw bald eagles out of the window, and Mt Baker was poking its head out. Would stay again.

We had a wonderful time :). The cabin has an amazing view and it's perfect for enjoying a peaceful morning (river background sound is relaxing). Interior is great. The living room with large windows with a river view is amazing!

The river view is beautiful. Do note there is not a way to get down to the river but the river sound is peaceful and relaxing. Lots of great windows to take in the surroundings. Beds are very soft, but honestly in a very good way (I personally really liked it). Kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots/ pans, coffee maker, and utensils. There is filtered water in the fridge which I appreciated. Home is a little older, but everything was quite clean! My favorite part is the fireplace in the common space. It really tied the place together and made hanging out cozy. Host was very communicative!

This home has an excellent setting on the river and beautiful views. We enjoyed our night there. The interior is nice. The kitchen is well appointed, but could use an update. The bedrooms are large, although the master bathroom is extremely small. We were happy to have a King size master bed, but found the mattress much too soft for our liking. We did find that in all the bedrooms, when it rained, drops of water came off the trees and landed on the skylights. But on the other hand, the skylights brought in much needed light during the day. We did have a little confusion on opening the gate at the street as it was not intuitive. However, it did not take many tries to get it open and all was good after that. We did appreciate the covered parking, and the quiet neighborhood. Lastly, even though you are literally on the river, you cannot get to the river from the backyard. You need to walk about 15 minutes down the road to get access. Getting out onto the river bed is worth it.

I spent a day visiting the North Cascade National Park and reserved the house as a close and convenient location to end the day. Nick was extremely responsive to my emails, answering them within a few minutes. The back deck had a great view. The kitchen, beds and bathrooms were clean. This is a good location if you are visiting the North Cascade National Park.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the cabin! We spent a couple days exploring up in the Cascades but also spent some time fishing in the river. Caught tons of salmon and the views from the deck were amazing. Cabin was well appointed with everything you would need and there are grocery stores close to stock up. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Our stay at The Riverside Cabin was very nice. The location along the Skagit River was breathtaking, and the view of Mt Baker was pretty cool too. Thanks Nick!

Nicholas was very responsive both before and during my stay at the A frame cabin. I had a lot of questions and Nicholas was able to respond right away. He was even able to replenish some kitchen ingredients that were running low. The view from the cabin was great. Highly recommend!

We stayed at Nicholas’s cabin for our elopement in the North Cascades at Diablo Lake. Right before our stay there were forest fires and the accessibility of the lake was questionable. Nicholas was quick to respond and offer advice and stay on top of the advisories. We appreciated all of the due diligence and communication! Luckily everything was open by the time our stay occurred. The views were BREATHTAKING and the cabin was the perfect backdrop for our getting ready photos and first look. We also had a baby with us and Nicholas was kind enough to provide a pack n play and portable high chair! Absolutely went above and beyond. The cabin was cozy and comfortable and we loved having tea on the porch, the bonfire pit and grilling at night. The park down the road was perfect for our baby and we even took the path down to the water and got some amazing photos! We plan to return for a longer stay. Thank you Nicholas!

Great stay! Charming A-frame cabin with plenty of bedroom and bathroom space and a full service kitchen. Beautiful setting in a wooded area by the river with direct backyard views of Mt. Baker. We enjoyed a lovely evening around the fire pit using the amply stocked reserves of wood. Hosts were super responsive and left clear instructions for accessing their home, as well as information on highlights of the surrounding area.

The back yard of the house face a river and have a good view of Mt Baker. It is beautiful and peaceful there. We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit in the back yard and watched the Mt Baker and listened the water flow in the river. The house is little old with older cabinetry and appliances but the bed rooms and bath rooms are very clean. The front yard has a double wooden gate which makes you feel safe. But we arrived quite late around 10pm and spent a little while trying to figure out how to open the gate. Finally we texted the owner and he called us back right away. Quick response!

It is all about the view! The view is just magnificent and you can see it from almost all parts of the house. We were able to sit outside every morning and evening, enjoying the sounds of the river (sounds like a waterfall) and watch the eagles soar over our heads. We saw some river otters, a beaver and of course, the eagles. The house is very charming. The beds are very, very soft which could be a pro or con depending on your personal preference. As others have said, the neighborhood is a little sketchy, but with the gates and fencing around the property, you won't notice the condition of some of the properties in the neighborhood. You will be in your own oasis. We were able to do some of our best hiking in the North Cascades from this location and wish we could have had more time to explore!

We went to the place with some guests who were visiting us from TX. This was a great getaway in middle of nature and absolutely peaceful. You can walk down to the river for a small little adventure. Nicholas is amazingly responsive and ensures he provides you best recommendations as well as helps with anything you need.

Nicolas was a wonderful host. A view of the Skagit River was just as the photos depicted. It was a wonderful place to come back to and sit by the fire in the evening after hiking and other excursions. Just as others commented, from the patio we saw several bald eagles in the trees nearby and flying over the river in the morning, and at sunset. Beautiful view of Mt. Baker!

We had a brief stay and wish we could have stayed longer to soak in the gorgeous views (and peaceful flowing river sounds) from the porch and living room. Clean, comfortable, very spacious, private, and extremely responsive and welcoming hosts made this the perfect launching point for our adventure through North Cascades National Park. The recommendation from the hosts for 5 b’s bakery in Concrete was top notch!

We enjoyed our stay. The place is in an older neighborhood, but it's very quiet. The view of the river and Mt Baker is outstanding and very peaceful. Comfy beds and great water pressure for the showers! We do suggest bringing your own food to the extent possible, there isn't much selection close by to eat out, and the kitchen has most of what you will need (sans a tin for brownies!). The owner was very responsive with our questions and pleasant/friendly.

Nicholas’s place was fantastic. We wanted a dog- and family-friendly place for our visit to North Cascades and this was perfect. The views from the porch were incredible and the location had easy access to the park. Nicholas was easy to work with as he was friendly and proactive.

Great location for visiting north cascades. Amazing view of skagit river. Beds were a little too squishy and kitchen layout was awkward. But we were very comfortable. Really nice conveniences like fans and mirrors in every room and a mostly well equipped kitchen. Nice and quiet. He was very responsive. He even provided recommendations for hiking and left out some guidebooks for us. We also felt very safe here.

We absolutely loved our stay at Nicholas’s cabin! In addition to the perfect location and views, the cabin was clean and we felt right at home. Nicholas was quick to respond and offer assistance whenever we had questions, and proactively reached out to gave us a heads up of a previous guest’s issue (which was a non-issue for us because of how quickly he had it cleaned up!). Would absolutely recommend and will book again in the future if we return to the area.

The house has been decorated nicely and owners included nice bonus items, such as books, games, laundry detergent, and local recommendations. View was breathtaking!

Nice place to stay

This is the perfect place to get away and relax. Nice furnishings and linens, comfy (if you like soft) beds and good pillows. The kitchen was stocked with all the cooking utensils and cookware that we needed, along with having children’s dish ware and utensils. The location was great if you want to explore the North Cascades plus it has an amazing view if you want to stay in.

This house was perfect for our hiking trip. The house was close to North Cascades National park (45 mins) and our favorite part by far was the spectacular view of the Skagit river from the house and fire pit with free wood :). The house was clean, well appointed with necessities like Wi-Fi, pots/pans, games and the beds were SUPER comfortable. Check in and out was a breeze.

Beautiful and spacious A frame cabin with an unbeatable view! Nicholas was a friendly host and we loved our stray! It was an easy drive to Diablo lake and we also explored the state parks near to the Airbnb. We had a blast using the firepit facing the Skagit river to watch the sunset on Mt Baker. A truely hidden gem!

A wonderful property with amazing views! Hearing the rushing river and watching a movie is extremely relaxing. The building itself enjoyable to stay in, clean, and has everything you need. The huge windows overlooking the river was my favourite aspect, but everything about it was just great. The hosts were very communicative and there was no issues getting in even when arriving late after dark. Strongly recommend if you're in the area and want a private getaway but with plenty of space and natural beauty!

The vieuw of mount Baker was amazing. We had a wonderfull time exploring the area and had a nice campfire out back when it stopped raining. Neigbourhood is a bit sketchy when you first drive through but we had no problems. Would recommend!

Our stay at the Riverside A-Frame Cabin was perfect for a few day's getaway during our son's Spring Break. It was cozy, clean, and inviting. The view of the river behind it was beautiful (we did see a few eagles in the area). I can only imagine how it looks in the fullness of late summer/early fall. My husband, teenage son and I enjoyed the board games available at the cabin after coming back from our day adventures. Even though we left our fur baby at home, we know that she would have felt right at home too with a little basket of toys. (We noticed the details and loved them all!). We were able to explore a magical, mossy forest hike on Evergreen Trail at neighboring Rockport State Park during our short stay. We didn't get out to all the trails we wanted, but to anyone looking, there are so many available from easy to advanced. The cabin was very private and secure. We felt safe and held here and would highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet cabin getaway.

My family had a great time at our mini-getaway at this cabin! After our planned trip to California was cancelled due to the weather conditions out there, we decided to celebrate my husband's birthday locally and found this cute cabin. Nicholas was responsive (literally accepted my reservation request for the same day!), the cabin was clean and spacious and the views were amazing. I spent most of the time inside the cozy cabin while my husband and son explored the surroundings. The neighboring homes are... a bit rough, but I loved that they have a gate that encloses the property so that you are separated from the street. The area was very quiet. I loved the amenities provided, even had some items to make s'mores which I thought was super cute, and toys and bowls for the pets! Overall, a great experience and we are already planning a return with our CA family members in the summer! Thanks Nicholas for opening up your property to us!

Great stay! Immaculate. As described. Just what’s needed, no clutter. Formica in kitchen is old and would probably stain if not wiped up quickly. Neighbors on one side with giant blue tarp and many cars - nice fence on this side covering the view. Beautiful view of river.

My wife and I have 4 dogs. It is super hard to find a place to vacation where they will be allowed. We jumped on this listing due to the fact that they allowed all of our dogs to stay with us. When we arrived the home was very dog friendly; dog beds, toys, water and food dishes, ect. The home feels private and the neighborhood was very quiet. View from the main room was amazing. We planned on hiking bit the weather was not suitable. We drove around and the river views were great anyway. Spotted elk in the river on our way to concrete to get groceries. Only 8 minutes from the cabin which was helpful when we had forgotten a few items. Nicholas was very responsive to our inquiries during our stay. Would stay here again!

I rented out this cabin for my boyfriends birthday and we had a couple friends join. It was the PERFECT location! We played games around the fire. The view is absolutely amazing and we even saw a bald eagle while we were eating breakfast on the patio! Beautiful beautiful location

This place had the perfect layout for our family vacation and was in such a cool location. Super easy to find, felt very secure, and communication with the host was so easy. We brought the pups and they had bowls, a bin of toys, and even a dog bed already there! Appliances in the kitchen made it easy to cook meals and the sturdy outdoor furniture made for a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee on the deck. We hope to come back soon!

Cozy and beautiful views!

The cabin's location right on the Skagit river is excellent. We saw bald eagles from the porch every single day we were there. A really nice view of Mt Baker as well! Communication with Nicholas was really easy and he was very helpful. The North Cascades are stunning even in the winter months!

This place is great for a family getaway. We enjoyed the cabin feel and beautiful surroundings while still having all the necessary amenities.

Five women and a pup headed across the border to bring in the new year in a dream of an A-frame cabin, surrounded by mountains and fresh air. Nick's cabin was the perfect location for this. The cabin is exactly what you want in an A-frame; amazing rock fireplace, huge window and balcony from which to take in the views of Mt Baker across the river. The cabin ticked alllmost all of our pre-event boxes (just missing the hot tub), but it more than made up for it with the charm and beauty. Everything from arrival was so well thought out - from the helpful notes and signs, to the little extras - like extra blow up mattresses in each room. Even the dog bed, bowls and toys which ensured all of our group had a comfortable stay. Concrete is a pretty small place, and the cabin is about 10mins from town, so we picked up supplies in Bellingham / Burlington before arriving - we did get treats from 3Bs Bakery which were delish. Cant wait to come back in the summer and get out hiking.

Nicholas's cabin was the perfect spot for a birthday getaway weekend. It had plenty of room for 4 adults and 1 pup, was very clean, and well appointed, especially in the kitchen. The views were spectacular and we thoroughly enjoyed watching the mist on the river and the many bird sightings.

Nicholas’s location is the perfect spot for access to the North Cascades, Mt. Baker and of course, the Eagle migration on skagit river - our main goal for the visit. The cabin was larger than expected, easily fitting 4 adults and 1 dog. The fireplace was cozy, internet connection was great and the beds were super comfy. Huge bonus (and hard to find in cabins) is the water pressure and heat in the showers were fantastic, especially for 4 people during a winter stay. Nicholas also provided a local guide, which was extremely helpful, especially for yummy food choices. Highly recommend Annie’s pizza place. Highly recommend- great views, local wildlife and a great host to communicate with.

Nicholas's cabin was the perfect spot for a mini-moon for my Husband and I! It is cozy and romantic enough for two, or a great spot to go with friends. You can't beat the view of Mt Baker on the back deck. The cabin was thoughtfully stocked, and very dog friendly. Great driving distance to Concrete for snacks, and Cascades National Park. Check in was easy, and we loved the fire place. The only issue I had was it was hard for me to open the gate to the property since I'm short.

We loved this adorable cabin tucked up against the river.. the views were amazing and of course, everyone loves to sit by the fireplace...! We hope to go back at another time of year to experience another season!

Cozy cabin right on the river!

My partner and I stayed with two friends and our dog for a long weekend. It was the perfect place to make big dinners, watch movies or play board games by the fire and explore the cascades during the day. The views from the deck/living room are so incredible (even during the rain like we had.) Our dog loved having space to roam inside and out. We would definitely spend another extended weekend here to slow down and enjoy each other’s company.

Absolutely incredible stay! The location was so beautiful, with a view of the lake where you will see wildlife every single morning. We were lucky to be able to see the bald eagle every morning and even watched a family of 7 elk cross the river! The cabin was well stocked with supplies for cooking and any little things you may have forgotten to bring. Very cozy and we truly felt at home! The hosts were informative and accommodating, everything about our stay was smooth. Would absolutely return!

Nicholas responded to my messages quickly when I had questions. I decided to book a quick trip to this cabin so that I could spend a few uninterrupted hours working on my master's thesis. The internet here was incredible, the house had everything I could need, and the views were unbelievable. I sat down on the porch to drink my coffee in the morning and Mount Baker was crystal clear across the river -- and sure enough, a huge bald eagle came soaring to a tree nearby the property! The house even has a firepit with benches and chairs around it. Nicholas kept the house stocked with firewood so it was really easy to just sit outside with a fire going as the evening got chilly. I think my favorite part (besides the eagle sighting) was being able to keep the sliding glass doors open during the day and hear the river rushing as I wrote my thesis. I couldn't have asked for a better mini-vacation!

Nicholas' cabin is a perfect nature getaway for family or a group of friends. We loved the master bedroom - so spacious and the mattress was extremely comfortable / I could barely get out of bed. We saw at least one bald eagle fly across the balcony. We brought mountain bikes and did a 20m out and back ride on a dedicated trail that starts in the town of Concrete, and ended the ride with ice cream in town. Highly recommend for those looking to escape the city and relax/recharge in nature!

What a beautiful home and setting. You can relax on the back deck or yard watching and listening the River and admiring Mount Baker. We even got to see elk crossing the river. The house was spotless, well stocked and comfortable. You couldn’t ask for any more. We will definitely book again when in the area.

Beautiful property, watching sunrise form deck with Beautiful views of mt baker and the skagit river We reserved this property for moms 80th birthday , held at another property in concrete wa. This is a very nice property with beautiful sunrise views of mt backer and the skagit river, very clean. Host provided very nice matteresses and linens, also there were high-end blow up mattresses in the closet of each room for overflow , we did not need to use them, but a very nice touch. The hosts were prompt during each step of the way. we forgot a item at the property when we left, and they found it and sent it back to us in montana. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND A STAY AT THIS PROPERTY. Thanks Nick for a wonderful stay.

The cabin was clean and well cared for. We saw elk by the river and a bald eagle! The beds were so comfortable and the blankets were so soft. The town is adorable and has amazing food! Our stay here was nothing short of amazing.

My stay at Nick & Danae’s cabin exceeded my wildest expectations! My boyfriend & I wanted to getaway for Labor Day & I couldn’t imagine a better home away from home after my stay here. The fire pit was perfect for roasting marshmallows for s’mores underneath the setting sun with the backdrop of Mt. Baker really being the cherry on top! The beds were super comfortable & the provided board games & card games were a very nice touch! So grateful I came across this listing, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for sharing your beautiful home. We cannot wait to return and make many more memories in this gorgeous & serene place.

Hands down the BEST Airbnb I’ve stayed in thus far. The cabin was clean & spacious, with a large, private fenced in front yard which is where the bedroom balconies are located and can let the dogs play freely. Wifi connection was strong & water gets very hot. The view of the river from the living room is really the cherry on top! There’s nothing more relaxing than brewing a fresh cup of coffee in the morning and going out onto the balcony to meditate on the sound of the river while enjoying the views of the mountains. During the evenings you can walk down to the backyard and roast s’mores by the fire pit. It was truly a magical experience being able to enjoy a slice of the Washington countryside in this romantic riverside cabin. Will definitely be returning.

This cabin was amazing. The view is beautiful. We had a wonderful time for Labor Day weekend with the whole family. We made s’mores on the backyard fire and did some amazing hikes. I would definitely recommend this place and we will definitely be back! Thanks for a great time.

Ridiculous view. Back porch may be the best setting for morning coffee, period. Cozy cottage centrally located for all the the North Cascades region has to offer. Bluebird Cafe and Act One Ice Cream Parlor both fantastic.

Our party of six adults plus one dog was planning a few days of hiking in the North Cascades and needed a place to stay in the area. When we saw this cabin hosted by Nicholas, we knew we needed to snatch it up right away, and we were not disappointed! The view of Mount Baker and the Skagit River from the cabin was amazing! We were out hiking during the day while we were there, but the cabin was a great place to rest and relax in the evenings after long day hikes. We loved sitting around the fire pit and playing games at the dining table. We found everything we needed in the kitchen to prepare breakfasts and pack lunches for our hikes. The beds were comfortable, and our daughter’s dog enjoyed the change of pace with the dog bed and toys in the cabin. Nicholas was very helpful when we were in our planning stages with information on current road closures, etc., that might affect our hiking plans. Check-in was a breeze and his instructions were easy to follow. Nicholas was a great host! We highly recommend this place if you’re going to the North Cascades! If we ever make it back, this is where we will want to stay. We made some great memories here!

This cabin is absolutely stunning! Amazing view of the river and Mt Baker from the back deck that is the perfect spot for relaxing. A reasonable drive to North Cascades National Park and other area trails. The house itself is fully stocked including coffee, tea, and a washer/dryer with detergent. The beds were super comfortable and bedrooms have blackout curtains if you need some extra rest. Having a big tv with a Firestick was an added bonus. If we were in this area again, we would stay here in a heartbeat. 5 stars isn’t enough!

Great A++ view of the river from the deck! We spent a lot of time out there enjoying the cool mornings and evenings with the sound of the river and the view of the snow covered mountain. Had easy access to the North Cascades and the town of Concrete has all we needed for our stay from the Red Apple grocery store to the excellent Cascade burgers. Nick was a great host!

Good location for day trips into North Cascades National Park. Town is limited with eat-out food options so plan ahead (but Cascade Burger is great if open).

My family loved our stay at Nicholas's cabin! From the time of booking through checkout, Nicholas was extremely friendly, prompt and helpful with communication. The cabin is just as described in the listing. The setting is beautiful, especially the back yard and balcony with gorgeous views of the river and mountains. We enjoyed coffee on the deck in the morning and smores by the firepit in the evening. The cabin is very clean and comfortably furnished. The kitchen has all the amenities you need and quality appliances. The beds and linens were very comfortable and there were plenty of nice towels. The location is near a grocery store, restaurants, and of course all the amazing nature and outdoor activities of this gorgeous area of the country!

Nicholas’ cabin is at a lovely location with gorgeous views of the skagit river and the cascades. It had everything needed to make our stay comfortable. The cabin is very clean, beautifully decorated and has all the amenities. Everything from the check-in instructions to directions was impeccable. Thank you for hosting us, Nicholas! Cabin is clean and in a great location with fantastic views. We were able to see Mt Baker above the trees and bald eagles collecting materials for their nests right behind the cabin. The bed we were in was very comfortable. The cabin also has great wifi which came in handy as we were able to search for the many hiking trails in the area of Mt Baker, Baker Lake and North Cascades National Park. The cabin has all the kitchen essentials needed. Nick was very easy to communicate with and got right back with us when we had questions. This was a great place and we will go back.

Stayed at this cabin with 4 adults and 4 dogs, and we had a wonderful time! The view from the backyard was truly breathtaking. We had so much fun playing the board games and outdoor yard games (there are tons of each!!) and enjoying the incredible, lush garden. We cooked all of our meals at the house during our 3-day stay. The grill was new and great to use, and the kitchen was pretty good but could use some more plates, bowls, and some other basic items of which there are only 4 apiece (we did a looooot of dishwashing!). Note for those with pups or small kids: there is a very steep drop down to the river from the edge of the yard, as well as a strip of land running between the river and neighboring yards, so kids/dogs who are prone to wandering will need supervision. They stocked the cabin with a 100 (I think??) foot leash that solved this problem for our Inspector Clouseau of a dog (the others were fine limiting themselves to the MASSIVE front yard and flat/sage portion of the back yard, which are connected). There were extra dog beds and dog toys provided by the hosts as well, which made us and our pup pack feel super welcome. Lots of amazing hiking nearby, and a surprisingly well stocked market a few minutes away. We had a blast and hope to come back soon!!

We only stayed here for one night but we will absolutely be back. This adorable cabin offers picture perfect views and all the cozy vibes you need. It was easy to cook dinner in the kitchen. The huge table was very appreciated by our larger party (there were five of us). The couch could sit us all and was very comfy, we enjoyed winding down there after a day of hiking. The beds were all super comfortable and all of us slept great. We especially loved how easy it was to build a fire in the fire pit outside, again, everything we would have needed was ready for us. Overall, plenty of the necessary things for anyone looking for a place to chill in nature. By far one of the best cabin experiences we've had.

Communication, check-in, and check-out were all great. Lovely place with absolutely phenomenal views of the river and Mt. Baker. Nice and cool inside the cabin despite temperatures in the upper 90's which was a welcome relief from the heat. We roasted marshmallows at the fire pit and watched the sky turn beautiful colors at sunset. It was perfect from start to finish and I highly recommend a stay at this cabin to anyone visiting the Northern Cascades. A++++++ We'll definitely be back!!

Great house! Would be a wonderful place to stay with a group. We really appreciate that it is dog friendly- something that is so hard to find! He did a great job with dog toys, a dog bed, water bowl, etc. Perfect get-a-way with our pups!

2nd Anniversary Weekend This cabin was a great refuge for myself, my wife and our two big dogs. The privacy fence and gate made it a great place to hang out with our friends and their children with plenty of space for our dogs to run around. The view from the back of the cabin across the Skagit River is serene. I would bring some binoculars, because we watched a couple Bald Eagles feeding. The host is communicative and up front with all information necessary for an easy, care-free stay.

My husband and I had a great stay at the cabin! We stayed here for our elopement in the North Cascades and it was perfect. It’s an extremely easy drive to the park, and the cabin itself is so cozy and inviting - and you cannot beat the view from the deck. We’d definitely love to come back!

I’ve stayed at a lot of airbnbs, this one is the best. Super clean and really incredible view of the river. Lots of special touches. The hosts really go above and beyond. Before our trip I asked if they had any baby gates for the stairs ( we travelled with a 1.5 year old) and the host said that they did not but wanted to make the place baby friendly and asked for my suggestions. They bought all of the things I suggested and more ( pack and play, baby gates, high chair, baby plates) and had them waiting for our arrival. So incredibly nice of them! I can’t wait to stay here again, thanks so much for a really fun and relaxing stay.

Nicholas was a fantastic host for an even better home! We really enjoyed our stay at his A-Frame, it had such a beautiful view of the river and Mt Baker. And we loved how easy it was to get to the national park and several other hikes. I would definitely stay here again!

Most relaxing weekend get away!!! My partner and I wanted a place to stay before we headed into Seattle for work the following week. This was the most BEAUTIFUL location and cutest little A-Frame house. The house was very cutely decorated and kitchen was very well stocked. Loved the experience and we will for sure be back next time we are in Washington State.

The cabin is clean, private, spacious, and not too far from town. It was so great to be able to bring our dog out with us on our adventures and have a quiet weekend getaway. Nick was a great host and answered every question we had and also provided board games and fantastic coffee!
